AIDS in Peru
In Villa El Salvador, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Lima, Peru, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) runs a project for AIDS patients. A joint project with the Secretary of Health. MSF put in progress a program which allows treatments for special patients and a focalized attention system.
The project made the treatments free for the people and brings the health care to the home of those who can not go to the clinic. MSF also brought with this program a psycologist and educational support. The main goal is to succeed in populations with zero AIDS education.
