These boys live in Carabayllo, a working class and poor district in Lima, Peru. Like other children, they play soccer and run in the yard. But they play for a short while because they have to provide money for their families. They don’t work simple jobs. At their young age, picks, shovels, and drilling hammers are used to cut stones and sell them to construction companies.
It is arduous labor. They skip school to work 5 hours. Sometimes, they suffer accidents, specially traumas. They can fill up a truck for a construction company in three days. They get paid 7 dollars a day.

Now, a private company decided to help them and reconstruct the school. Their work has decreased and they are back to leading normal children’s lives.
